One Team, One Training Philosophy
Learn it properly
Our coaches may have different experiences and areas of expertise, but they share the same Swim Bangladesh philosophy:
Do not learn swimming halfway. Learn it properly.
We want our students to understand water, develop confidence, learn the necessary skills step by step and become safer and more capable swimmers.

Founder & Head Coach, Swim Bangladesh
Mr. Syed Akhteruzzaman
For Syed Akhteruzzaman, swimming began as a personal passion and gradually became a mission to help more people learn this essential life skill.
An amateur long-distance open-water swimmer, he has participated in open-water swimming challenges and trained his own children in swimming before beginning to teach others. During the COVID-19 period, what started as training his son and daughter gradually attracted other children and parents and eventually led to the creation of Swim Bangladesh Swimming Academy.
To develop his coaching knowledge further, he traveled to India and completed Level 1 and Level 2 coach education with the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) at the Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre.
He later used this learning, together with his own swimming experience, to develop the structured training approach followed by Swim Bangladesh.
Beyond swimming, Syed Akhteruzzaman has a long-standing interest in endurance and outdoor sports, including long-distance running. His approach to sport is simple: progress comes through patience, regular practice, discipline and completing the learning process properly.
As Founder and Head Coach, his main focus today is on training coaches, developing the curriculum, improving training standards and making structured swimming education more accessible in Bangladesh.
Special Areas: Open-Water Swimming, Survival Swimming, Coach Development, Curriculum Development
Training: ASCA Coach Education – Level 1 & Level 2
